Halfway Reflection

At first I thought I was really going to struggle, seeing as how this is an entrepreneurship class and I’m taking this course at home. I didn’t really have faith in myself to do the work and stay on top of things. I really struggled with the cupcakes, and trying to keep up with the deadlines. But then I decided not to wait until Friday between classes to do work, but rather take about 3-4 hours one day a week and get Friday’s assignments done. Then Sunday night I try to watch the lesson videos and do my cupcakes, and then respond to post on Monday morning. I have found this has helped me dedicate the amount of time I need for this class without me drowning myself in school work. I wouldn’t say anything specific happened to me that made me buckle down and try my best to pass this class. I think my reflection of goals and what steps I was taking to achieve those is what really accelerated me into taking my grades, and school work even more serious.

1. Be real about your abilities.
2. Always want better
3. Relax

  1. Elly, I related to your post because I also underestimated the time I needed to dedicate to this course and often found myself feeling overwhelmed with the work. I have also now developed a schedule to dedicate my time to this class and have been able to get things done more efficiently. Great tips for future students and people in general.

  2. Hey Elly,
I related to your post because it I am basically taking this course at home because I have only attended one live lecture. I really like your method that you are currently using. I never thought of utilizing time that way but everyone has their ways. I too was struggling with cupcakes even after watching the lectures. I really enjoy your third tip and your picture. Your choice of picture is very inspiring.

  3. Hey Elly,

I agree, I also thought that I would not be motivated enough to excell in this class. Overtime I realized that I am really interested in entrepreneurship and have learned to love the lectures and this class. I too came up with a schedule that has been working for me so far. I like the little image you included, it is a great sign of motivation.
